Group Insurance Services, Inc. (GIS) is an insurance agency and wholly owned subsidiary of BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee. The agency has a strong presence in Tennessee and currently markets USAble Life's voluntary products through a statewide network of over 2,000 brokers. GIS currently manages over $38 million of in-force premium. GIS has its own sales staff located geographically throughout Tennessee and works closely with the sales representatives of BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee where offices are located in Chattanooga, Nashville, Knoxville, Memphis, and Jackson. The GIS representatives sell and enroll voluntary products independently and in conjunction with flexible benefits plans (Section 125) at the worksite. GIS provides Section 125 administration to over 500 employers in Tennessee.
