Programmer Analyst II
Exempt 03

This position is a mid-level programmer analyst responsible for developing and maintaining software applications, designing and maintaining database management systems, identifying and resolving problems with software applications, and communication with users to help in determining technical solutions to meet their business needs.  The incumbent works on solutions of the most complex nature with minimal guidance in a fast paced environment.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer related field is required.
  • Professional experience with programming MS SQL and Relational Database Management Systems required (2 to 4 years experience)
  • Required skills include SQL server, Microsoft SQL 2000/2005, C#, VB or VBA, Windows 2003,.NET
  • COBOL, XML, HTML, ASP, Pervasive SQL 9. a plus
  • Knowledge of the Insurance industry and group insurance products is a plus.
  • Programming in high level languages, troubleshooting existing code and processes, and communication with end-users are required.
  • Working and developing applications in a Windows 2003 LAN environment

Regional Vice President, Group and Worksite Sales

Plan and implement sales, marketing, and strategies for the distribution of LSV group products (Group Life/AD&D, Disability and Dental products) through Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida.  Lead the development of the marketing/sales strategies. Oversee marketing segmentation, product/service positioning, channel marketing, pricing and solution delivery.  Develop, execute and manage sales plans and initiatives.

Responsible for reaching designated annual new premium goals and manage to projected budget for group products.  Lead the development of the marketing/sales strategy in Florida; develop, execute and manage sales plans and initiatives. Oversee product/service positioning and channel marketing to group and individual ancillary products.  

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

Essential:

  • Bachelors degree, Sales or Marketing preferred
  • Five or more years of experience in life and health insurance sales and marketing (with emphasis on ancillary benefits)
  • Experience in the sale of group life and ancillary products including payroll deduction (worksite marketing) and Cafeteria Plans.   
  • Knowledge of multiple and multi-state distribution systems. 
  • Ability to frequently travel in a multi-state area.

The Call Center Clerk functions within the Corporate Call Center (CCC) to assist the Personal Account Representative’s (PAR) with securing information to answer routine inquiries and conduct research which will require extensive use of LifePro, Life and Specialty Ventures’ policy administration system, Spectrum Plus, Life and Specialty Ventures’ inventory and supply system, and daily use of files maintained in the Central Records Department.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

Essential:

  • High school diploma and 1-2 years working experience in a professional environment which deals directly with the public.
  • Ability to work within a team environment supporting Call Center Representatives as needed, with little supervision.

This position reports to the Manager of Marketing Communications, and is responsible for the creation, approval and support of marketing communications for USAble Life/FCL products and Dental products written on Blue Partners' paper.  This includes but is not limited to product value propositions for all customers (employees included) as well as producer, product messaging, dental providers and product marketing collateral including product information contained on the website(s).  Ensures product marketing messaging and formulation are consistent in content and supported by consistent procedures.

 

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Public Relations or related
  • 2-3 years experience, but excellent writing skills a must.  Writing sample required.
  • Excellent command over the English language with  expert writing skills, editing and proofreading abilities. 
  • Ability to write concise, attention grabbing and hard-hitting copy that puts the message across.  Creative frame of mind with strong visualization skills. 
  • Ability to function with little supervision and to initiate correspondence when appropriate.
  • Able to deliver within short time frames and meet tight deadlines

 

Preferred:

  • 2-3 years copywriting experience within the insurance industry. 
  • Familiarity with Mac platform desired.
