USAble Life is strongly committed to the
role of corporate citizenship within our community. The Company
and our employees actively participate year-round in a variety
of organizational and community projects. We are currently
working together with the following organizations to make
our community a better place to work and live.
ARKANSANS
FOR DRUG FREE YOUTH
Each year USAble Life employees celebrate Red Ribbon Week
to support Arkansans for Drug Free Youth. During this week,
schools and communities throughout Arkansas hold rallies,
parades, various contests, and drug-free pledge days in efforts
to change the attitudes that exist towards tobacco, alcohol,
and other drugs. USAble Life is proud to help raise awareness
for this worthy cause.
JUNIOR
ACHIEVEMENT
USAble Life employees participate in fundraising events, such
as a bowl-a-thon and phone-a-thon, and serve as instructors
in schools throughout the Central Arkansas area to benefit
Junior Achievement. Junior Achievement is a volunteer organization
that coordinates with businesses and public schools throughout
the community for
the purpose of teaching free enterprise to children in grades
K-12.
RACE
FOR THE CURE
The Susan G. Komen Foundation Race for the Cure has become an international organization with a network of volunteers working through local chapters and Race For The Cure® events in over 100 cities throughout the United States. The foundation is fighting to eradicate breast cancer as a life-threatening disease by advancing research, education, screening and treatment. USAble Life employees fully support the mission of the Komen Foundation. We usually have over 40 employees participate. Our t-shirt design won an award in 2004. The 2006 race in Little Rock is scheduled for October 7!
UNITED WAY
USAble Life annually participates in the United Way campaign. Year after year, USAble Life employees respond to the United Way campaign in a bighearted way. For 2006, our employees pledged $15,165.84, which is $4000 more than last year! Ashley Chism did a wonderful job as this year's United Way coordinator. She put great thought and enthusiasm into making this campaign fun and very successful. The money raised is allocated to charitable organizations throughout the community.
