First Impressions Count When Onboarding New Groups

The onboarding process is the first real impression new groups have of what makes USAble Life a market leader. Our implementation service managers (ISMs) quarterback the onboarding process. One of the standouts on USAble’s ISM team is Lawrence Jackson, senior ISM. Lawrence excels at bringing together all the internal teams involved with the implementation process, ensuring deadlines are met and all necessary tasks are performed efficiently.

Since joining USAble in 2015, Lawrence’s technical, business, consulting, and product expertise has made a meaningful difference in helping us build successful relationships with our groups. Lawrence has put the customer service skills he honed during his time with Verizon and Apple before joining USAble to use effectively in his current role.

“Being able to put myself in the customer’s position always leads to success,” he says. “Focusing on the customer helps us tailor what we do each day to meet their needs and anticipate what they may want in the future.”

When he isn’t helping our new groups, Lawrence looks for ways to help his teammates. He was instrumental in developing the ISM’s new hire training plan and program, and earlier this year, he facilitated a process improvement exercise for the team.

“Lawrence is a very respected member of our team,” says Ryan O’Dell, manager, implementation services. “He has built a reputation as a leader and exemplifies the characteristics of what it means to be an ideal teammate. He is always patient and willing when lending a hand to others who need support, and he’s dedicated to learning about our products, systems, and processes. His confidence and expertise have earned him the trust of our largest clients, which builds trust in USAble. We’re grateful to have him as part of our amazing team.

”Lawrence’s vast knowledge and experience make him an expert at his job. That, in addition to his commitment to living our service heritage, exceeding expectations, and being a great teammate, makes him a Difference Maker.
